The NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative & MedIAN is pleased to invite you to apply for a free place at its forthcoming Imaging Innovations Clinicians & Academics Knowledge Exchange taking place on the 13th November, The Studio, Leeds.
At the beginning of 2018, the Royal College of Surgeons (England) launched an independent commission to explore the future of surgery. The aim of this commission was to set out a compelling and credible vision of the future advances in medicine and technology, and how those developments will affect the delivery of surgical care. One of the advances is imaging, which has the potential to affect surgical treatment and clinical outcomes.
The NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative would like to bring together clinical, academic and commercial expertise to develop research collaborations that can access appropriate funding to further innovation in this area. Although the Surgical MIC is focused on colorectal, HPB and vascular surgery, we would like to draw expertise from any clinical or academic speciality.
This is an opportunity for academics, clinicians and companies with an interest in imaging technologies to engage, discuss the clinical applications of new technologies and to form research collaborations to address unmet needs for imaging in surgery.
