Dr Leticia Garcia-Montoya PhD

Clinical research fellow in Rheumatology

I graduated in medicine in Spain and completed my specialty training in rheumatology at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, in Madrid. After that I came to Leeds and started a PhD under the guidance of Professor Paul Emery OBE, Director of the Leeds Biomedical Research Centre.

I currently work as a clinical research fellow in Rheumatology at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. My investigations are focused on the identification of biomarkers associated with the development of rheumatoid arthritis in order to support early diagnosis and begin preventative treatment.
