Ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion in research

For our research to have the impact where it is most needed, we need to ensure that our research has been designed to include those who are most impacted.  Many groups, including those who are underserved (including ethnic groups, older people, women) are often not included in research.  Work has taken place across the NIHR to encourage recruitment and participation from underserved communities.  Some of the key initiatives that have been developed and are included below:
