March saw the National Institute of Care and Research (NIHR) SurgTech conference in Leeds, showcasing new approaches in surgery.
Our colleagues Professor David Jayne, Head of Surgical Technologies research at the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), and Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) Chief Executive Professor Phil Wood, opened the 2- day conference each day respectively, highlighting our commitment to innovations in surgical technology.
Guest speakers from LTHT also included Mr Ryan Matthew and Professor Tze Wah introducing non-invasive techniques for destroying tumours, Professor Philip Conaghan director of Leeds BRC and Dr Chris Herbert, Director of Operations at Research & Innovation, underlining the Trust’s dedication to top-notch surgical care.
