Dr Carole Burnett appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leeds

We are delighted to share our esteemed colleague and Academic Research Capacity Development Lead Dr Carole Burnett has been appointed Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Leeds.

This is in recognition of her outstanding role in radiotherapy research, training and leadership in academic capacity building across Leeds and the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Carole is a diagnostic radiographer by background, who is employed at NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre and Leeds Teaching Hospitals as the Academic Capacity Development lead. Carole has developed a career in undertaking and advocating for, patient benefiting research and supporting our future research leaders.

The honorary title acknowledges Dr Burnett’s significant contribution to advancing knowledge and practice within her field, alongside sustained commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia, healthcare partners, and regional stakeholders.

Dr Burnett’s recognition is a testament to her leadership, research excellence, collaborative approach, and ongoing support for emerging academics.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Carole Burnett said:
