Funding call: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agile projects

The NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC): Leeds is inviting applications for short-term (under 12 months) agile projects that aim to promote, embed, deliver and/or evidence best practice in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across the infastructure.

This funding call is an opportunity to support innovative ideas that improve research inclusion and help ensure our work reflects and benefits diverse communities.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from colleagues across NIHR BRC:Leeds with ideas that align to our EDI priorities and strategy.

How to apply

To apply, please submit a short proposal addressing the following questions:

  1. Why is this an EDI project?
  2. How does your project align with the BRC/CRF EDI Strategy and action plan?
  3. What is the value of your project in promoting research inclusion within the BRC?
  4. What are the expected short-, medium- and long-term impacts?
  5. What resources are required?
  6. What is the overall budget?
    • Please note: There is no fixed budget limit. Applications will be assessed on value for money and impact.
  7. What are the proposed start and end dates?

Key information

  • Projects must be completed by 31 March 2028
  • Applications are reviewed three times a year (June, October and February), subject to funding availability.
  • All projects must submit a final report or, ideally, an impact story.
