NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre 2025/26 Post-Doctoral Clinical Research Awards

The NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre is delighted to invite applications for the 2025-26 Post-Doctoral Clinical Research Awards.

To support applicants applying for competitively funded post-doctoral career development fellowships, we are holding a targeted funding call for The NIHR Leeds BRC Post-Doctoral Clinical Research Awards.

Applicants should be currently employed by Leeds Teaching Hospitals, University of Leeds or University of York with clinical research experience (awarded a PhD/MD at time of interview). Applicants with Honorary contracts are also eligible. Applicants should plan to undertake clinical research aligned with the broad remit of the NIHR Leeds BRC, which is to support early translational research (musculoskeletal disease, cardiometabolic disease, surgical technologies, pathology, haematology, antimicrobial resistance and infection).

Women, those from ethnic minorities and under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants not currently in a clinical role are eligible to apply if they have current active Health Care Professional registration. This includes doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, dentists, pharmacists and healthcare scientists.

For successful applicants, funding will be made available to buy time out from your current role along with funding for consumables, training and development, and PPIE and research inclusion activities.
